When is the BEST time to go?

Updated: Jan 28

Timing plays a crucial role when planning a dream vacation to ensure it's truly unforgettable. Let's uncover the optimal times to travel to popular destinations, ensuring your adventures are perfectly aligned with the magic each location has to offer.

Here are my recommendations based on five of the most popular trips that I book:

1. Europe

Spring (April to June) and Fall (September to October):

Enjoy blooming landscapes in spring and colorful foliage in the fall while exploring historic cities, indulging in local cuisine, and witnessing iconic landmarks. I can help you discover the charm of Europe during the shoulder seasons. (FYI - Shoulder seasons are off-peak times and can offer some of the best value as well as lower crowds at your destination.)

2. Domestic and Beach Trips

Year Round

Soak up the sun on the East and West coasts during the warm summer months. As expected, this timing will bring more crowds, but I will help you find the best location for the relaxation, adventure or mix of both you're looking to enjoy.

If you're not a "get in the water" typer person, shoulder season in these locations (October-April) can offer nice views to offset the chilly water. But if you love the snow, I can plan your next ski trip!

With 50 states to explore, there's always something that's in the "off season" to enjoy.

3. Cruises

September to November for Caribbean Cruises - Set sail during the fall for pleasant weather and fewer crowds so you can explore exotic ports of call and onboard activities without the peak-season rush. While this aligns with hurricane season, ships can move to avoid winds and choppy waters to keep you both safe and comfortable.

May to August for Mediterranean Cruises - Enjoy the Mediterranean countries while only unpacking once! These trips are outstanding and offer you the culture and history of the area while allowing you the comforts of "home" with familiar cruise lines.

May to September for Alaska - Head to the Last Frontier and escape the heat! These cruises book up fast so be sure to reach out to me ASAP to book for 2025!

March through April for River Cruising - Enjoy the smoothest cruise experience without the risk of seasickness, as the rivers are at their highest. You'll also find a great balance of pricing, weather, and fewer fellow travelers, allowing you to explore destinations that larger ships can't reach.

4. Theme Parks

January to February; September; early November; early December

I think you all know my love for Disney and Universal. I enjoy going during these dates so I can experience shorter lines, pleasant weather, and magical moments without the summer crowds.

5. All Inclusive Resorts

December to April:

Did you know that the Caribbean has a dry season? Well, this is it!

Researching All Inclusive resorts can be exhausting because there are so many gorgeous photos. I'm here to help you figure out what offers you the experience you're looking for (party, culture, adventure or relaxation). This timeframe offers some of the best values and experiences available.
